awkward neighbor experience
one time at around 3 or 4 am I took a shower and forgot my towel. now between my bathroom and my bedroom there is a kitchen window with no shades or curtains and right across from it is my neighbors ( a Spanish dude around the same age as me with a family much like myself ) kitchen window with no blinds or covering. I see my neighbors thru that window quite a bit. so here I am naked and wet at 3 or 4 am and thinking to myself it's not a big deal walking thru my house bare ass because no one else would be up, sure enuf as I'm passing my kitchen I spot something thru the corner of my eye moving out side the window. I stop and look and there is my neighbor walking in the opiset direction, only now he had stopped and looked over at me ( he must had seen me moving as well ) and there we where, two family men in our thirties from the same neighborhood at 3 or 4 am both as naked as the day we where born sharing an awkward moment. we both turned our heads back and walked on. and although neither of us have ever mentioned it to the other, I'm sure it's something either of us will soon forget. I'm so awkward.com

how did you know you wanted to tattoo ?
Hello, my name is Shane Kamerik and I am a tattooer by trade. I don't have much need for proper grammar or spelling so having a blog might not be the best idea I have ever had but I’m going to give it a shot anyway. Clients often ask me, "how did you know you wanted to tattoo”? I usually answer the same way a lot of tattooers do by saying, well, I have always been into drawing and art, friends had me design their tats, people said I should… ect ect. But lately I have been thinking a lot about this and realized it was what I was always going to do. My entire interest in art started very young when I found a tattoo magazine. I was floored. I had seen tattoos before then, a lot of my family had tattoos and some were heavily tattooed; but I had never seen tattoos and drawings like the ones in the life changing publication I held in my hands. I spent months looking through it and tracing the crudely drawn skulls, snakes, and wizards. That summer I saw a guy that lived on my street outside with nothing but shorts on, an old One-percenter, with a full body suit, and I knew right then, I was going to be heavily tattooed. Almost all my life I knew I was going to get tattooed the first chance I got with no plans of stopping. And that’s exactly what I did. But that’s a story for another day. Along the way I have been influenced by a lot of different styles of art; skate decks, album covers, lowbrow, comic books and graffiti, to name a few, but tattooing was never far from my mind. What my life would be like today if I had never found that early 80’s tat rag is a reality I don't even want to imagine. I owe everything to tattooing and will spend the rest of my life trying to pay back that debt. Hello my name is Shane Kamerik and I’m a tattooer by trade.
Cheers
